ELECTIONS & VOTING

The Board of Elections meet the 2nd Monday of the month at 5:15 Pm.  The meeting is held at the Baker County Board of Commissioners Office, 439 Georgia Hwy 91 NW, Newton, Georgia 39870.

VOTING OPTIONS:

ABSENTEE BY MAIL

 If you want to vote an absentee ballot by mail, you may request an application by phone, email or print the application by clicking HERE. You may email the application to board.elect@bakercountyga.com, fax it to 229-734-0889 or hand deliver to our office located at 439 Ga Hwy 91 NW, Newton, Ga 39870.  You may also fill out the application online at MVP.sos.ga.gov.

ADVANCE VOTING DAYS/HOURS AND LOCATION NOTICE:
     Baker County Elections & Registration Office, Board of Commissioners Building 439 GA HWY 91 NW, Newton, Ga. 39870
Tue. - Sat.  October 13– October 17, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Mon. – Sat. October 19- October 24, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Mon. – Fri.   October 26 – October 30, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
      If you wish to vote by mail, you may contact the Elections Office to request an absentee ballot application starting August 17, 2026. The LAST day we can accept an absentee by mail ballot application and mail absentee ballots to voters is October 23, 2026.
     A drop box will be provided in the Elections Office to return absentee ballots in person or return them in by mail. The drop box will be available during Early Voting hours.
     On the last day of vote, ELECTION DAY, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, you will vote in your assigned precinct from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. To find your assigned precinct and polling locations please review your precinct card or go to http://mvp.sos.ga.gov.
