ELECTIONS & VOTING

The Board of Elections meet the 2nd Monday of the month at 9:30 am.  The meeting is held at the Baker County Courthouse, 167 Baker Place, Newton, Georgia 39870.

VOTING OPTIONS:

ABSENTEE BY MAIL

We will be accepting absentee ballot applications for the November 8, 2022 General Election starting August 22, 2022.    If you want to vote an absentee ballot by mail, you may request an application by phone, email or print the application by clicking HERE. You may email the application to bd.election@bakercountyga.com, fax it to 229-734-0889 or hand deliver to our office located at 167 Baker Place, Newton, Ga 39870 on or after August 22, 2022.  You may also fill out the application online at MVP.sos.ga.gov.

The deadline to submit an absentee ballot application is October 28, 2022.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS AFTER FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2022.  

WE WILL BEGIN MAILING BALLOTS ON OCTOBER 11, 2022.

ADVANCE VOTING

Advance Voting will be located at the Baker Count Courthouse. The hours will be Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., October 17, 2022 - November 4, 2022.  There will be Saturday voting on October 22, 2022 and October 29, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

ELECTION DAY

You may vote at your assigned polling location on Election Day, November 8, 2022.  The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Please call our office at 229-734-3019 if you do not know your assigned location.
